Narcissism/Narcisismo

Fell in love with his own image reflected in a pool of water

(English)
Every person is narcissistic, more or less, but he/she doesn’t have problem in his/her relationship. In contrast, a narcissist is another story. If you have a narcissist in your family or office, the life is not going to be nice, sometimes it is a torture.

 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(English)
A narcissist needs extensive admiration. No matter he/she has done a small things or something badly, he/she needs admiration or he/she will feel frustrated and angry.

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(English)
Second, a narcissist thinks always that he/she is a special person, has more rights and deserves something better. For us, share 10 dollars to 10 persons, ‘fair’ is that every person receives 1 dollar. For a narcissist, he/she thinks that he/she deserves to have more than 1 dollar and the others persons divide the rest. That is the ‘fair’ for a narcissist. He/she thinks that he/she has high status and all the people have to obey his/her order, although his/her order is very ridiculous.

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(English)
A narcissist is arrogant and has an exaggerated sense of its own importance although he/she doesn’t have such success. He/she thinks that he/she has a lot of knowledge and experience, even though that he/she knows nothing, or worse, he/she is wrong.

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(English)
Moreover, a narcissist has a lot of jealousy and thinks that others jealous him/her. He/she can’t stand that others have done something good or being success, although there is nothing to do with him/her. If other advices him/her, he/she thinks that that person jealous him/her.

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(English)
The most important is that a narcissist is lack of empathy, doesn’t want to know or identify the needs and feelings of others. If someone cheated him/her, he/she felt angry, but he/she thinks that if he/she cheats other person, that person should not be angry. Even if he/she fails, it’s the fault of others.

  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(English)
No matter how much you advise or how much you yell at him/her, you can’t change a narcissist. It’s better to maintain a long distance with him/her. For more information about narcissism, please revise the internet or consult the doctors.

Something about Relationship/Unas Cosas sobre La Relación

(English)
In Taiwan and Chinese communities, many grandparents have the idea that the daughter-in-laws are not their children. They are members of the family but have no genetic relationship. It’s common that the grandparents compete with the parents for being emotionally much closer with the grandchildren. For this kind of people, they don’t trust their daughter-in-laws. They don’t want their grandchildren, who have genetic relationship with them, to have intimacy with the daughter-in-laws, the mothers of their grandchildren. Moreover, they don’t want their grandchildren to be close to their mothers’ families.

(English)
Now, in Chinese communities in Malaysia, there is difference. There are maternal grandparents who don’t want the grandchildren to visit their fathers’ families. Neither of them is healthy.

(English)
The most interesting is that the grandparents occupy the grandchildren by taking care of them. Some grandparents, especially grandmothers, offer to take care of the grandchildren, sometimes for free. Moreover, a lot of the young people think that taking care of the grandchildren is an obligation of the grandparents. This reflects that a lot of Chinese don’t have clear personal boundary and the parents control a lot although the children are adults. Moreover, Chinese emphasize the genetic relationship a lot. So, parents-in-laws and daughter-in-laws are hard to be friends for some people.

哦! The In-laws, What a Pain!/¡Los Suegros, Qué Pena!

The Dinner of The Chinese New Year's Eve/La Cena de La Noche Vieja

(English)
Chinses New Year is coming. It’s a time of joy and harassment for many wives in Taiwan and Chinese communities. Not only the cleaning and the shopping, but also the relationship with in-laws that bothers them a lot. There are many articles about the relationship between parent-in-laws and daughter-in-laws on internet. Traditionally, the Chinese culture is patriarchal, hierarchical and intimate. The men are more powerful than women, the olds have higher status than the youngs and they like to live together with their sons.

(English)
In ancient time, the value of a single woman was depended on the status of her family. The value of a married woman was depended on how many sons they had had. So, the life of a woman at that time always depended on the men, father, husband and son. When the women got married, they were no longer belonged to their biological family. They were the members with lowest status in their husbands’ families. Person that had lower status then them would be their daughter-in-laws. Because the mothers depended on the sons, it was easy that the mothers competed with the daughter-in-laws for the sons.

(English)
Now, although the education emphasizes equality, for many people, that thinking is still deep in their mind. Combine 2 thinkings, modern and traditional, sometimes the situation of the married women nowadays is worse. Many in-laws think that it doesn’t matter the daughter-in-laws working or not, they should be a traditional daughter-in-law, do all the house chores and serve the in-laws. Free. There are in-laws who spoil their own children only. They feel hurt when they see their children doing house chores. Yes, they feel hurt very much when they see their sons washing dishes but the daughter-in-laws are not their children, so they don’t feel anything. It’s the jobs of the daughter-in-laws. Some in-laws, especially mother-in-laws, have forgotten the responsibilities of their adult sons as a husband and father. They expect the daughter-in-laws to be their sons’ mothers. Moreover, many in-laws are control freaks, don’t respect their sons and their wives. The whole family has to obey their opinions and they interfere the families of their children. Money and education are the most interfered.

I BelieveCreo que

(English)
The truth, there are many in-laws who respect their daughter-in-laws and help them a lot too. Many problems between parent-in-laws and daughter-in-laws are caused by the incompatible expectations of 2 persons. It’s common that the in-laws have different thinking with the daughter-in-laws but are nagociable. Most of them can get along well.

Social Abilities/Habilidades Sociales

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

We know that if we don’t practice a skill for a long time, it will lose. If we haven’t oraganized activities for a long time, we won’t organize them easily for the first time. If we haven’t spoken Spanish for 2 years, we won’t speak well the first time. So does the social skill.

After 2 years of life with few friends and social activities, I was so insecure when contacting people. I didn’t know what was better or adaquate. I didn’t know if I were sensitive. At first, I was not good, hesitated a lot. But, when I enlarged my social life, contacted with more poeple, my social ability was improving. It took me about a year to recover my ability.

So, it is very important that having friends or contacting with people. People who live isolated for years, it is not easy for them to return to the society, they need time and help. Most of the time they prefer to continue their isolated lives.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

「Despacito」太粗俗?/Is ‘Despacito’ Too Vulgar?/¿Es ‘Despacito’ Demasiado Vulgar?

──────────────────────────

After being a mom, I haven’t kept in touch with the Spanish world. There has been no Ricky Martin or Shakira, even football. But about 3 weeks ago, a news from Malaysia caught my attention. It was said that the Spanish Song ‘Despacito’ should be prohibited from broadcasting through public chanels in Malaysia due to the too vulgar lyric. And it did. Although a lot of Malaysians said that they didn’t understand anything about the content because they didn’t study Spanish in Malaysia. They liked it for its rhythm.

Then, I was very curious and checked the You Tube. Unfortunately, I loved it very much! Yes, my first Spanish song since I restarted my Spanish class. Is it too vulgar? It seems to me that it is a typical latino style. I think the dancing in the video is more ‘vulgar’ than the lyric but this dance is common in the video of latino music too. It doesn’t matter prohibit or not, the song is popular now.

──────────────────────────

No había Ricky Martin o Shakira, incluso fútbol.

Después, me dió curiosidad y chequé You Tube. ¡Infelizmente, me gustó mucho!

To People Who Is at A Low Ebb/Para La Gente con Depresión

To celebrate the 1st anniversary of restarting my Spanish class.

------------------------------------------------------------------

It has been a year since I restarted my Spanish class. It has been a rewarding year. The story is: after I stopped my Spanish class, my baby was born. I stayed at home taking care my baby alone most of the time. My life then was very busy and isolated. I didn’t have friends. Moreover, I received very little appreciation. Meanwhile, I was facing other problem too. I was losing my confidence and was drained physically and mentally.

I had been success in the past. I believed that I had the ability and value. But I just didn’t know how much value I had because no one appreciated. When I contacted Yolanda, my Spanish teacher, a year ago, I was at a low ebb, a very low ebb. It was a correct decision. I enjoyed my class. I received a lot appreciation from Yolanda and I felt recharged. My life became more interesting and positive. Many problems were not that important anymore. Although I still haven’t had a precise goal of my life, I feel happier and have more confidence.

To the people who are in a low ebb, I know that you are confused, you feel incompetence, you don’t know what you want or what should you do. Sometimes, even your closest person or significant other doesn’t support you nor appreciate what you have done. Maybe you could join some activities groups that you are interested. It lifts your confidence and makes you happier. Keep in touch with persons who support you. Concentrate on things that make you happy and you will find your way out.

------------------------------------------------------------------

No tenía amigos.

Después de Ser Madre/當媽之後/After Being a Mom

Mientras llevan unos bolsos.

Trecer, abriendo de potencial. ¿No sabías cocinar?

My professor, Yolanda witnessed my change before and after being a mom. I started to take her Spanish class 4 years ago. At that time, I didn't have any baby. I stopped the lessons 2 years ago, because my baby was born. I continued my Spanish class with her again 8 months ago. I bring my daughter along. No doubt sometimes my daughter cried, ate etc during the lesson. So, my professor told me that she didn't want a child after she saw my situation. Too much work. She asked me that should people have children. My answer is: your choice. It is not necessary.

What change after being a mom? I think most mothers would agree "nothing is impossible to a mom". Yes, many things that seemed impossible before become regular basis.

First, flexible sleeping hours. Before being a mom, many girls found that waking up at 5 in the morning was very hard and they could sleep without interuption. After being a mom, most moms have to wake up very early and wake up many times throughout the night.

Second, become Wonder Woman. Before being a mom, for many girls, it was impossible carrying something heavier than 10kg in their arms. After being a mom, they can carry a 12kg toddler for a period of time meanwhile holding a few bags.

Third, outbreak of your potential. Don't know how to cook? After being a mom, my friend found some recipes and cooked for her son automatically. Bad in art work? After being a mom, another friend of mine, converted an old hat into a whale and sow it on a shirt becasue her son needed it in school. And mi, I learned to sing and bake cake.

Fourth, life without TV. Before being a mom, I watched TV everyday. I couldn't live without it, at least I thought. After being a mom, sometimes I didn't turn on my TV for 2 or 3 days. TV is not so important now. I think many mothers would agree.

Fifth, better multitasking skill. Right, I cooked while another dish was processing in the microwave oven, while my clothes were rolling in the washing machine. Hanged the clothes while blanching vegetables while baking. Very busy.

Sixth, change in the places you visit. After being a mom, we always visit the zoo, parks and baby shops. Even restaurants, we need to go to children friendly restaurants.

Seventh, your dressing style changed. Before being a mom, many woman dressed up themselves more. After being a mom, the style is more casual, simpler and relax.

Eighth, don't plan a tight schedule. There is always unexpectation, accident and surprise. Planed to go out at 9, but my child is still sleeping. When we were ready to go, my child need to go to the bathroom. Planed to do my homework in the afternoon when my child slept, but she didn't want to take her nap.

The life after being a mom is very different. There are many bad things and many good things. But it is a road that no return.

When mom is busying with multiple tasks, my toddler is busying too.

El Día Internacional de la Mujer/三八婦女節/The International Women's Day

Today is the International Women's Day. While we are embracing all those working women, don't forget those housewives( or home makers). The contribution of thevhousewives is often devalued. Many people think that housewive is an easy and laid-back job. The truth is sometimes, a housewive is a free or underpaid servant, even a free or underpaid nanny in the same time.

40 years ago, most of the married women were housewives. Nowadays, you need some courage to be one in Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore.People think that it is a job without value because it is not paid or underpaid. The logic of the Chinese is without money, without independency, low-status. Whilst many married women have to work and share the economic burden.

I didn't mean that housewives have more contribution than working women or vice versa. I think women should have more freedom to choose and be respected.

Algunas Opiniones/

También, el autor habló de 楊冪creyó que una mujer rica puede usar la frase "老娘有錢
